Groundwork with a halter and lead is the very basis upon we build any training program.
The Driving Horse in particular needs to gain certain skills to become a safe, reliable partner for the discipline of being hitched to a vehicle.
If you ever thought of teaching your own horse how to drive, but don’t know how to get started, this one day progressive workshop will introduce you to the steps I take in the first 4 weeks of my 12 - 14 week training program.
Each step builds on the previous one, breaking down the process into small pieces for both human and equine.

To evaluate a horse that is supposed to be broke to drive, but we are not sure of his training background. Covering all the basics from the ground up will uncover any possible weak spots or holes.
As the trainer of your own horse, you need to understand and master these steps before you and your horse can move to more advanced driving training.
You will be using your own horse for this clinic, but an experienced horse can be provided for you.
